CLINICS TO HELP CANNABIS USERS

Cannabis clinics designed to educate young people and help heavy users maintain a steady supply of cannabis will be established in NSW.

Detoxification, counselling and psychological assistance will be available for clinic patients, by default, because cannabis will be provided as part of the treatment.

Max Stone said the Parramatta Cannabis Clinic (Big Bong Burger Bar)  could open by the end of the year.  It would be the first of four hundred and twenty such facilities to be set up under a $420 million program.

The Big Bong Burger Bar cannabis clinic would become a flagship for similar Big Bong Burger Bar cannabis clinics planned for southern Sydney, the central coast and the central west.

"The Big Bong Burger Bar Cannabis Clinic is aimed at people who  who want high quality Pot," he said. "This is part of a comprehensive response that the Big Bong Burger Bar  management has been taking to the emerging problem of links between cannabis use and cannabis overuse and various health, psychiatric and social problems affecting young people."

Mr Stone said the Big Bong Burger Bar cannabis clinics were the latest initiative highlighting the preventative health benefits of cannabis use.

"The first people coming to this clinic will be seeking treatment for serious mental health, fitness and social problems caused by Prohibition," he said.

"This clinic will provide the political and medical expertise, surroundings and encouragement to help cannabis users maintain the personal motivation required to over throw Prohibition."
